The Honda Civic, now starting it's tenth generation, looks to maintain it's position as one of the best-selling compact cars in the United States with more premium features, loads of safety tech and excellent fuel economy.

Available as a sedan or coupe, with five trims to choose from: LX, EX (LX-P on coupe), EX-T, EX-L and Touring, they offer two engine choices - a 158-hp, 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder with a standard six-speed manual transmission and optional Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) on LX/EX, or a 174-hp 1.5-liter turbocharged, direct-injection inline-four bolted only to a CVT on EX-T, EX-L and Touring. Standard safety features on all Civics include electronic stability and traction control, four-wheel disc anti-lock brakes with brake assist, hill start assist, LED daytime running lights, six airbags, pre-tensioning front seatbelts and tire pressure monitoring. Available safety tech includes HondaLink emergency response system, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Collision Mitigation Braking, Honda LaneWatch, Lane Keep Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow. Standard tech features include Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, Siri Eyes Free, steering wheel audio controls, automatic climate control, a rear camera and ECO-Assist technology on all trims. The top-of-the-line Touring trim adds LED headlights, LED turn signal mirrors, voice activated navigation, rain sensing wipers, heated rear seats and power driver and passenger seats.

For 2016, the Civic has been completely redesigned inside and out.
